Here at Funbikes we have been in the business for almost 10 years and pride ourselves on the products durability, reliability and safety. We supply the best quality motos and bikes to customers at the best price.

When it comes to choosing a bike, mini dirt bikes are extremely popular. These dirt bikes have a brilliant speed range from 50cc to 250cc - more than enough to give a rider that adrenalin rush!

Mini Dirt Bikes are geared for lower down pulling power which is great for wheelie power. Many people think of wheelies as showing off but it is a vital skill to be able to get your wheel off the ground out on the trail.

One of our best products we have available is our Blue Cobra Mini Dirt Bike with a 50cc engine. This bike has motor cross tyres and a high performance carburettor. Automatic rev and go and 2 stroke engine combined with the easy start pull starter system updated in 2011. This means that this model of bike has the ability for instant acceleration.

The popularity of the bike has also been based on the fact that the graphics featured on the bike are based on Yamaha Motocross rider James Bubba Stewart.

Mini Dirt Bikes are suitable for all riders especially children due to a larger bike being inappropriate and potentially dangerous if it is too big for them to handle properly.

Don’t miss out on the excitement of owning your own mini dirt bike.

The difference between dirt and pit bikes

Dirt and pit bikes are an increasingly popular choice here at Fun Bikes and they are incredibly fun to ride. However, even though there doesn’t look like there is a big difference between the two types of bikes there most certainly is.

Both the pit and the dirt bike share similar qualities such as aesthetics, parts, functions and uses but it’s all in the detail that separate these two types of bikes.

For starters, the pit bike has a renowned history for being the go to bike when traveling around circuits and motor pits. This required the bike to be smaller in build, be fitted with smaller tires and reach lower speeds in comparison to the traditional dirt bike. In basic terms, the pit bike is a smaller version of the dirt bike.

However, dirt bikes have a larger speed range. At Fun Bikes we stock a great selection of Dirt bikes that range from 50cc to a staggering 250cc. The KDX 250R is the fastest dirt bike that we stock and it can hit an impressive 70MPH.

The speed that dirt bikes can reach encourages the more experienced driver to invest in that product rather than a pit bike. The speed range of our stock of pit bikes varies from 90cc to 160cc which eases the inexperienced rider into the thrill of riding a bike.

So how do you decide which bike is for? Each bike is specifically built for a purpose, it’s just finding what qualities you need when purchasing a bike. One of the main aspects to consider when buying is what experience of riding do you possess. If you are fairly comfortable with riding a bike then a dirt bike is for you, if not then the purchase of a pit bike which is smaller might be advised. Budget is also a contributing factor although running costs are low for all bike types.

We would love to hear from you so if you have any stories, questions or advice on any of these bikes, please get in touch and leave your comments below. For advice on any aspect of bikes, scooters or quads, please get in touch and we will do our best to help you.

Product Review Mashed UP Stunt Scooters

Stunt scooters are extreme scooters that are designed to provide good resistance when they are used for jumps, tricks or stunts. They can be purchased for a variety of prices and are generally more expensive than regular scooters. From more recreational to pro stunt scooters, the high quality strength of these scooters makes them suitable for people of all abilities.

An example of a lower end stunt scooter would be the Mashed UP Street Stunt Scooter Pink, selling now for £60, which is perfect for entry level. The scooter has a load rating of 120kg with a super strong alloy head set making it suitable for people of all ages. This combined with T-Style alloy handlebar with 360 degrees rotation makes the scooter an exciting option for beginner wanting to buy your first stunt scooter.

Higher end models tend to be much stronger and more durable making them a better option for if you want to use the scooter at a skate park or for tricks. A higher end scooter such as Mashed UP Elite Stunt Scooter Red, being sold for £290, provides you with a light yet strong scooter with ABEC bearings and a compression system ensuring you have a smooth ride on the pro stunt scooter. This elite scooter is at the forefront of scooters produced to date, giving easy manoeuvrability making it ideal for people more experienced in extreme sports or park riding.

At Funbikes we offer a wide range of high and low end scooters, check them out here!

Stunt Scooters

Stunt scooters differ from regular scooters as there is a greater emphasis on the weight and strength of the bars and deck, as well as the quality of the wheels and bearings. The reasoning for this is because if you are performing stunts and tricks you want to be confident that your scooter is not going to let you down and break or collapse underneath you. For this reason you will also find that they often do not have the foldable bars that you see on standard or younger children's scooters.

Stunt scooters will often have better quality grips both on the deck and handle bars providing you with more comfort when performing tricks. Some riders prefer to customise their scooter both to improve its appearance and also to help toughen it up. There are a wide range of accessories available on the market to help you do this giving you a unique appearance and style.

Whether you are looking for stunt scooters for kids or quality pro stunt scooters from the biggest brands; we offer an extensive selection of stunt scooters to suit your needs.
