Pit Bike Spares

Originally pit bikes were used for moving around the staging area or pit of motocross races (hence the name), however, since 2001 pit bikes gained a racing class of their own. The Honda Z50 was the original pit bike for accessing pit facilities during racing events. In 2001, a popular dirt bike movie, Crusty Demons of Dirt 3, depicted how the Z50 pit bike could jump bicycle ramps. Honda meanwhile was revamping the Z50 model to XR50 which sported a plastic fuel tank, single rear shock absorber, spoke wheels, and the redesign of frame and appearance.

As the popularity of pit bike motocross grew, business interests began upgrading aftermarket parts to make the pit bike more comfortable and powerful for heavier riders. Some of the parts include heavy duty suspensions, tall handlebars, larger seats, and big bore kits.

Kawasaki created the KLX110 in 2002 for the adult rider and had a greater top speed than the Honda XR50. Since it was created for the adult rider, it does not require the upgrades as the Honda, making it more economical and popular among the motocross enthusiasts. The sport now has pit bike race series throughout the United States. The leading contender in this series is Derek Costella, 2 time champion of the MiniMoto SX.

Production pit bikes became available in 2003 when the SDG Speed Mini was introduced by Xtreme Motor Corporation. In late 2004 USA Motortoys imported a bike called the Pitster Pro. Other companies currently offering pit motocross bikes are SDG Pit Bikes, SSR Motorsports, G2 Moto, Motovert TDK, and Piranha. Aftermarket parts are available for these bikes, too, from Fun Bikes.

Fun Bikes has an Internet based catalog (http://www.funbikes.co.uk/sc-Pit_Bike_Spares-14-0.aspx Pit bike) with a large selection of aftermarket parts for motocross pit bikes such as:

• Chains and sprockets
• Engine casings and covers
• Exhaust parts

The range of pit bike performance parts, spares and accessories makes Fun Bikes specialist suppliers of spare and performance parts for pit bikes. Free delivery and fast order filling makes our parts available to the motocross enthusiast within 24 hours in most situations.

FM Moto 110cc Kids Quad Bike

Are you looking for a awy of getting the kids away from the x-box and television, and needs something that is exciting enough to do the trick, than the FM Moto 110cc Kids Quad Bike bike will give you children many days of fun and adventure and will give you the memories of watching your child learn to ride and control a motorized vehicle in a safe, but exciting manner.

The FM Moto is a great off-road vehicle for your kid, providing the thrill and fun associated with this type of vehicle, combined with the quality and safety built in that will ease your mind as a parent. The FM Moto is powered by a 110cc 4 stroke Loncin engine. Operating the FM Moto could not be any simpler as there are no gears or shifting involved. You just hit the accelerator and off you go. This vehicle has numerous great safety features engineered into it. The front wheels are wider than most other quad bikes, which gives an increase in stability when maneuvering around corners, making the bike much less likely to flip over. Another important safety feature in this bike is the newly-revised suspension system which has replaced the traditional oil-based shock absorbers with new state-of the art gas-filled models. This provides much more absorption of the shocks and jolts associated with off-road quad bike riding and lessens the wear and tear on both the bike and the rider. One final very important safety feature on the FM Moto is the built in parental safety tether. This system allows an observing parent to pull a tether and immediately shut off the engine if their child is riding into a dangerous situation they may not be fully aware of or is driving the quad bike in a dangerous or reckless manner.

So, for a top-quality, reliable quad bike at a great price, look no further than the FM Moto 110cc Kids Quad Bike.

Hammerhead GT80

The new Hammerhead GT80 is an off-road buggy for kids age 11 and upwards. It has two seats so your child can be joined by a friend in the fun of using this superb new vehicle, so make sure that your child and passenger doesn't forget to wear them. It will keep your child safe, busy and happy under the watchful eye of mom and dad for hours on end.

This new buggy, available from funbikes.co.uk, is built stronger and much more ruggedly than other similar buggies on the market. It has been built for children around the age of 11 to use, and although it is a smaller model, its chomoly tubular frame has been built with the strength of larger vehicles of this type. Which it needs, as this buggy has been designed to handle all terrains, and its full dual A-arm/ swing A-arm suspension will make driving over those rough bumps seem like smoothed out tarmac to keep your child comfortable.

Other characteristics of the new Hammerhead GT80 include an electric start and automatic drive for your child to get going, sliding bucket seats which allows the seats to be adjusted so their feet can touch the pedals, and a canopy top. The canopy top is removable, and it is great for use if you need the cover to shadow out the sun so that your child can see better, rather than having the sun shining directly into their line of sight. The engine is a four-stroke that runs on unleaded and the brakes are hydraulically powered. And in the unlikely event that you would need it, the Hammerhead GT80 comes with a one year manufacturer warranty.
